About Us

The Griffin Inn is a village pub here to serve the local community, and visitors to the area. Our bar areas are perfect for warming up after a long walk in front of our open fires, whilst enjoying one of our real ales and perhaps even a bar snack... We have a cosy restaurant that serves an ever changing worldly inspired menu. Our most recent addition is The Old Stables, Ideal for weddings, Anniversaries and any other function you could possibly envisage.

The Local Area

The Griffin Inn is situated at the heart of The Charnwood Forest. On our front door we have Swithland woods which is perfect for both walking and cycling. Bradgate park which is rich in history and perfect for picnics. Swithland reservoir which in summer also offers up some of the finest sunsets you'll ever see. Or maybe The Great Central Railway is more suited to your family day out?
